Lightworks 24/07.

Club nights usually dip in quality in July and August, people are either at a festival or the weathers too good and it’s much more preferable to chill in a park. Anyway, that hasn’t stopped We Fear Silence, whose residency at Cable over the past few months has done some very good things, teaming up with Dirty Canvas to put on one of the nights of the year, let alone the summer months. In the main room Four Tet headlines, but it’s Loefah who we’re most excited about. His sets been refreshed by the house-garage-dubstep merge and sound more akin to Night Slugs than anything else, of course his Swamp81 label has put out recent action more heavy on Roland drum machines than anything else – Addison Groove’s Footcrab and Ramadanman’s Work Them. Add Ireland’s Space Dimension Controller to the bill and that’s pretty much a summary of the sounds we’re the most enthused for currently. Kyle Hall is in his fanclub and you should be too – the man manages to evoke such depth and soul from a highly electronic timbre. Cooly G, Sbtrkt and Sampha back them up while in room two Doc Daneeka, Deep Teknologi and Hypno push our excitement over the top.

It’s at Cable this Saturday, confirm your attendance here.
